Patient Rights and Responsibilities

Respect for our patients' rights is at the core of our service. This text is based on the Patient Rights Regulation.

Your Rights as a Patient

  • Benefiting from services: The right to benefit from the diagnosis and treatment offered and to be informed about them, without discrimination of language, religion, race or sect.
  • Information and consent: The right to be clearly informed about the proposed procedure, possible risks, alternatives and outcomes, and to access one's medical records.
  • Knowing and choosing staff: The right to learn the identity and title of the responsible physician and staff, and to choose and change them.
  • Choosing the institution: The right to choose and change the health institution in accordance with legal procedures.
  • Refusing and stopping treatment: The right to refuse or stop treatment except in legally mandatory cases.
  • Privacy: The right to receive service in an environment that respects confidentiality and to have health information protected.
  • Being respected: The right to receive service in a respectful, compassionate and friendly environment.
  • Consultation (second opinion): The right to request another physician's opinion on diagnosis and treatment.
  • Security: The right to protection of life and property.
  • Complaints and suggestions: The right to use the application mechanism in case of a rights violation and to give feedback.
  • Learning the fees: The right to learn service fees before treatment and to receive proof of payment.

Your Responsibilities as a Patient

  • Giving information: Providing full and accurate information about your health condition.
  • Following advice: Adhering to the treatment and care plan recommended by your physician.
  • Accepting outcomes: Being responsible for the consequences if you refuse the recommended treatment.
  • Following rules: Complying with the rules and practices of the health institution.
  • Showing respect: Behaving respectfully towards the rights of other patients and staff.
  • Infection control: Following recommended measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
  • Payment: Paying the costs of examination and treatment.
  • Keeping appointments: Keeping appointment dates and times, and informing in advance if you cannot attend.
